Congratulations! By deciding to pursue chiropractic care, you are
taking an exciting first step toward better health. Here’s what
to expect on your first visit…
Our initial consultation is offered so we can both get to know one
another and it helps us understand your particular condition.
After filling out brief paperwork on your health history, you’ll
meet your doctor.
He or she will conduct a thorough examination to uncover the possible
causes of your health condition. This may include a postural evaluation,
orthopedic and neurological tests, a spinal exam, and blood pressure
check. X-rays of the spine or related areas may be necessary to determine
the cause of your problem. These are performed here in our office
by certified radiological technicians.
In certain special instances, blood tests, urinalysis, CAT scans and
MRIs may be recommended to help in the diagnosis and evaluation of
a condition.
After the initial exam, we’ll carefully study the results of
your tests and meet with you for a complete report of your findings.
We’ll discuss our conclusions and recommend a program of chiropractic
care. If we determine you’d benefit from a different specialist,
we’ll refer you there. Then the choice for health is yours!
Once your health plan is devised, future visits will take only a few
quick minutes. We’ll locate and reduce your vertebral subluxations
with gentle adjustments and monitor the healing process over time.
